How to Read Route Types

IEPL dedicated lines, transit routes and direct connections describe the general path from your location to the target region. These names are not a simple speed ranking; suitability depends on the destination, local network, time of day and application.

IEPL Dedicated Line

An IEPL dedicated line generally places cross-region traffic on a more clearly managed private link, reducing the impact of frequent changes across long-distance public network paths. Its strengths are path control and consistency during busy periods, not a single speed figure that summarizes every connection.

This type of route is better suited to sustained video playback, long remote meetings, file synchronization and work that depends on connection continuity. If the local network has wireless interference, a congested carrier exit or background device usage, a dedicated line cannot replace local troubleshooting. Choose based on your actual environment.

Dedicated lines require more cross-region link resources, so their resource cost is usually higher than that of ordinary direct connections. For occasional web browsing or reading text, there is no need to treat a dedicated line as the only option. Start with a nearby route and switch only if stability calls for it.

Transit Route

A transit route first connects to a suitable entry point, then forwards traffic through an intermediate node to the target region. The entry and exit can match different network conditions, so the path does not rely entirely on the long-distance route selected by the local carrier. It is often useful when direct paths fluctuate but dedicated-line resources are unnecessary.

Transit performance depends on entry quality, forwarding paths and the exit region. The extra forwarding step adds complexity but also creates room for adjustment: when the target region stays the same, try another transit entry in that region and compare page response, video buffering and long-lived connection stability.

Resource costs generally fall between dedicated lines and direct connections. Transit routes suit everyday browsing, AI Tools, streaming and regular remote work. If an application is sensitive to region signals, keep the exit region consistent and avoid repeatedly switching regions in a short period.

Direct Connection

A direct connection links your device to a server in the target region over the public network, with a relatively simple path and no additional transit hop. When local routing to the target region is favorable, it suits web browsing, messaging, research and lightweight tasks with clear regional requirements.

Public network paths are shaped by networks along the way, so results can vary by region, carrier and time of day. The direct-connection label describes the connection method, not a fixed performance guarantee. If loading becomes inconsistent, try another direct location in the same region, then compare transit or an IEPL dedicated line.

Direct connections use fewer intermediate resources, which generally helps control service costs and makes them a useful starting point. If the goal is simply to access a website for a specific region, a nearby, region-matched direct route is often clearer than an unnecessarily distant, complex path.

Identify the region where the target service is based, then choose a route type. If the region is wrong, a smooth connection can still produce a different catalog, login prompt or service entry point.

WEB

Everyday Browsing

For research, messaging and ordinary web pages, start with a nearby direct or transit route. Check whether the first screen loads continuously, images appear fully and the login state remains stable; do not judge solely by the route name.

If most destinations are in one country or region, choosing that region directly is easier on the account environment than frequently changing the exit. When one site responds slowly, compare other locations in the same region before changing route types.

MEDIA

Streaming

Streaming depends on the exit region, account region, payment region and the platform’s own content rules. Look for a region tagged for the relevant platform, keep the connection in that region and reopen the app so an old session does not retain the previous region.

If buffering occurs frequently, check the local wireless network and background downloads first, then try a transit route or IEPL dedicated line in the same region. Quality is determined by platform policy, network conditions and device capabilities; one route tag cannot replace a full diagnosis.

AI Tools

AI Tools typically depend on connection continuity and a consistent exit region. Choose a transit route or IEPL dedicated line in a supported region, and stay in the same region while logging in, chatting and processing files to reduce interruptions or repeated changes to the session environment.

If the page opens but messages cannot be sent, check the account status, browser cache, file size and current route separately. Do not attribute every error to the route; testing another location in the same region can more quickly distinguish an account issue from a network-path issue.

GAME

Gaming Connections

For gaming, match the game server’s region rather than choosing only by proximity to the user. Login, matchmaking, voice chat and gameplay may use different services, so a route may improve each stage to a different extent.

Close sync tasks that use network bandwidth, then compare direct and transit routes to the target region. If the game offers a separate region setting, keep its server region reasonably aligned with the exit region. A network acceleration route cannot replace game-server maintenance or local network checks.

WORK

Remote Work

Remote desktops, meetings, code repositories and cloud documents depend on stable long-lived connections. When the work system is tied to a specific region, start with a transit route or IEPL dedicated line in that region; for continuous collaboration, avoid switching countries or cities mid-session.

Follow your organization’s security requirements when accessing corporate systems. Switching and Troubleshooting Order

Change only one condition at a time so you can tell whether the issue comes from the region, route type, local network or target service. The sequence below suits most cross-region access scenarios.

  1. Confirm the Target Region First

    Check which region the target website, streaming service, AI tool or work system primarily serves. If the account already has a fixed region, keep it consistent instead of guessing from the route type first.

  2. Compare Locations in the Same Region

    Start with a direct route in that region. If page loads are inconsistent or long-lived connections drop, compare transit and IEPL dedicated lines while keeping the target region unchanged.

  3. Rule Out Local Device Factors

    Pause background sync, system updates and large file transfers, and check whether the wireless network is stable. You can also temporarily disable browser extensions so their rules, cache or old sessions do not affect the result.

  4. Re-establish the App Session

    After changing regions, close and reopen the target app or web page. Some services retain session information from the previous region, and refreshing the page alone may not trigger a new exit-region check.

  5. Keep Useful Region Combinations

    Once a route works for the current use case, record the region, route type and application scenario together. Reusing a similar entry next time is more direct than testing the entire directory again.

Global Coverage Does Not Mean Choosing a Distant Server Every Time

The farther the path, the more complex the networks along the way. When the target service has no regional requirement, a nearby location is usually easier to troubleshoot and use long term.

When one country has multiple cities or route types, treat the country as the directory key and the city and path as values to compare. Lock in the country first, then adjust the city and route type to avoid changing multiple variables at once. For streaming and AI Tools, also keep the exit region reasonably consistent with the account environment.

The number of locations is only one part of coverage. Actual route selection should also consider the target region, route type, application rules and local network conditions.

Why are there different route types in the same region?
The same exit region may be reached through a direct connection, transit route or IEPL dedicated line. They use different paths and resource arrangements and suit different network environments. Keep the region constant first, then compare route types to see which path fits the current use case.
Does a streaming tag guarantee the same content?
Streaming content is also affected by account region, payment region, app cache and platform rules. Tags help filter by use case; they do not mean different accounts will show exactly the same catalog. Reopen the app after changing regions and check the account settings.
Does a more distant route always work better?
Not necessarily. When the target service has no regional requirement, a nearby route usually has a simpler path. Match the relevant country and city only when accessing region-specific content, using a local website or connecting to a work system tied to a specific region.
Can different devices connect to different regions?
Yes. VPNKV supports unlimited concurrent devices, and each device can choose a route for its use case. For example, a work device can stay in the region where the company system is located while an entertainment device uses a region tagged for the relevant streaming service. Devices must still follow the target service’s account and usage rules.
Where can I find the complete route list after registration?
Create an account with a username and password; no email address is required.
